“Cavity” is a collection that explores the everyday life and inner struggle of people living with Anorexia Nervosa. Based on interviews and personal conversations with those affected, I translate their experiences, thoughts, and emotions into a visual and material language. The work offers insight into a deeply hidden inner world, revealing the psychological burden of a condition that extends far beyond its outward appearance. At the same time, the
collection questions societal perceptions of the body, beauty, and mental health. With “Cavity,” I aim to encourage reflection, foster empathy, and raise awareness of the severity and complexity of Anorexia Nervosa.

I am Yasmina, a 25-year-old Fashion and Textile Design graduate from Reutlingen University. My work explores the intersection of streetwear and couture, merging contemporary aesthetics with conceptual storytelling. Through my designs, I engage with philosophical ideas, social issues, and the beauty that emerges from contrast and contradiction.I am particularly drawn to the imperfect, the unconventional, and the overlooked. These elements serve as a source of inspiration and reflection, shaping a creative process rooted in experimentation and material exploration. By combining innovative techniques with strong conceptual narratives, I create garments that extend beyond their visual presence—pieces that tell stories, provoke thought, and invite viewers to question, reflect, and engage with the world around them.
