IMPERFECT PERFECTION – Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft Hamburg
My Bachelor collection explores the concept of Ugly Chic and the aesthetics of imperfection. I am fascinated by how elements once considered ugly, kitschy or unconventional can become desirable and modern. Through research and experimentation I transformed imperfections into intentional design choices.
Inspired by garments, materials and styles often considered flawed, I played with proportions, upcycling and unconventional materials to challenge traditional beauty norms.
By blending high and low aesthetics, integrating everyday objects into luxury designs and including intentional flaws, my collection covers imperfection as an aesthetic statement, opening new perspectives on beauty and style.
About me:
My work merges eveningwear, sportswear and unconventional materials to challenge norms and propose new ideas of beauty.
I am passionate about creating full, cohesive looks that balance wearability with aesthetic impact, aiming to create garments that empower, protect and resonate emotionally.
Inspired by personal experience, cultural context and the tension between elegance and provocation, I see fashion as a tool to express and shift perspectives.
