Text über meine Kollektion:

Meine unisex Kollektion [‘memycry] ist inspiriert von Mustern und Farben der Tierwelt.

Durch Mimese und Mimikry sind Tiere in der Lage, Feinde zu verwirren oder Partner zu beeindrucken. Sie nutzen ihre Farbvielfalt auch, um ihren Gefühlen Ausdruck zu verleihen, was ich mit meiner Kollektion ebenfalls erzielen möchte. Durch Recherche entdeckte ich spannende bunte Tierarten, die mir vorher fremd waren. Teilweise sahen sie aus wie angepinselt. Und so bin ich in gewisser Weise den Designprozess meiner Kollektion angegangen; als würde ich die Looks malen, illustrieren und gestalten. Die Kollektion besteht aus fünf Looks, dessen Silhouetten von Sport- und Streetstyle und dem Film „Die Fliege“ von David Cronenberg inspiriert sind. In Kombination mit glitzernden Oberflächen und bunten Farben ergibt sich eine ausgefallene Spring/Summer 2022 Kollektion, die sich nicht zu ernst nimmt und auf die Individualität aller Lebewesen aufmerksam machen soll.

My unisex collection [‘memycry] is inspired by patterns and colors of the animal kingdom.

With mimicry and mimesis animals are able to confuese their predator or attract and impress potential partners. But they also use their variety of color to express their feelings and moods, what I also aimed to do with my collection. Through research I discovered very interesting colorful animals that I have never heard of before. Some of them looked like they have been painted on. And that is also the way I approached my design process; as if I am painting and illustrating the pieces. My collection consists of five looks whose silhouettes are inspired by sports and streetstyle and „the fly“ – a famous movie by David Cronenberg. The shiny surfaces together with the bright colors create a varied Spring/Summer 2022 collection, that is not taking itself too seriously and wants to point out the uniquess of all living beings.
