In his work, Sagil Ilyas Md. Amin often explores the liminal states of their body. of our bodies How their perception shifts from the state of human being, art object pertorming/bodily sculpturality and the state of
an object viewed through preconceived post-colonial partriarchal notions.

„FIVE FIGURES“ aims to explore these liminal states through five performative sculptures, weaving a dialogue between the human body
and bodily sculpturality. The clot hes and the performance at their conceptual core cannot be separated, but f^low into one another:

They create a dialogue, capable of functioning separately in their
respective worlds, performance and fashion, yet bloom in context with each other. Each garment is created with the performative and sculptural notion at the core and how they interact with the body, with the intention being that they can exist as singular pieces or in collective with each other.

In their trandsciplinary practise, Sagil weaves design into performance and sound as to him they cannot be seperated.
