Kurzbiografie:

Geboren in Bagdad und aufgewachsen in Dingolfing (Niederbayern), bin ich mit zwei unterschiedlichen Kulturen groß geworden, die mich geprägt haben. Besonders ausschlaggebend für meine Designentwürfe ist die Wertschätzung von Kleidungsstücken, die ich in meiner Kindheit von meinen Eltern übernommen habe. Für mich ist Mode ein Sprachrohr, um meiner Stimme eine Plattform zugeben und meine Werte zu teilen.

Kollektion:

Das Thema lautet: Stadt, Land, Flucht und ist eine spielerische Auseinandersetzung mit meiner persönlichen Flucht aus dem Irak nach Deutschland. Bei dieser Kollektion geht es um mehr als das Entwerfen von Kleidung. Die Outfits erzählen eine Geschichte. Die Flucht aus dem Irak hat mich geprägt und bildet das Fundament dieses Projektes. Es ist eine spannende Auseinandersetzung mit sozialen, kulturellen Strömungen, welche aus westlichen und orientalischen Einflüssen geprägt worden ist. In dem Prozess geht es darum, diese vielfältigen Verflechtungen des Menschen in seinem Handeln sowie dessen Folgen für die Gesellschaft und die Umwelt zu erkennen, zu deuten und in Form von funktioneller Bekleidung visuell zu interpretieren. Hier steht dabei der Mensch mit seinen Bedürfnissen, Anforderungen und den damit verbundenen Gestaltungsfragen im Mittelpunkt des kreativen Prozesses, um nachhaltige, ästhetische und funktionale Designlösungen zu entwickeln.

Die Kollektion ist von Gesellschaftsspielen, Animes und Mangas inspiriert. Diese positiven und freudigen Aspekte haben mir in meiner Kindheit geholfen mich meinen Ängsten zu stellen und die negativen Erinnerungen durch positive Gedanken zu ersetzen, was mich unter anderem zu dem macht, der ich jetzt bin.

Short biography:

Born in Baghdad and raised in Dingolfing (Lower Bavaria), I grew up with two different cultures that shaped me. What is particularly decisive for my designs is the appreciation of garments that I inherited from my parents when I was a child. For me, fashion is a mouthpiece to give my voice a platform and to share my values.

Collection:

The theme is: city, country, flight and is a playful examination of my personal flight from Iraq to Germany. This collection is about more than designing clothes. The outfits tell a story. The escape from Iraq shaped me and forms the foundation of this project. It is an exciting examination of social and cultural currents, which have been shaped by western and oriental influences. The process is about recognizing and interpreting these diverse interrelationships of people in their actions and their consequences for society and the environment and visually interpreting them in the form of functional clothing. Here, people with their needs, requirements and the associated design issues are at the center of the creative process in order to develop sustainable, aesthetic and functional design solutions.

The collection is inspired by board games, anime and manga. These positive and joyful aspectshelped me in my childhood to face my fears and to replace the negative memories with positive thoughts, which among other things makes me who I am now.
