Nach einem Zögern und Zaudern betrete ich das Zimmer meines Großvaters. Sein Geruch ist gegenwärtig. Seither sind Monate vergangen, aber die Zeit im Zimmer steht still.. Ich liebe meinen Großvater. Wir hatten immer eine ganz besondere Verbindung. Meine Kollektion beginnt mit der Geschichte von dem Tag, an dem ich das Zimmer meines Großvaters ausräumen musste. Dieser Tag ist fest in meiner Erinnerung verhaftet und jede Erinnerung vermittelt jedes Outfit. Das wichtigste Hauptmaterial ist weißes Volumenvlies. Sie ist neutral, weiß, weich, leicht, und warm. Das Material symbolisiert für mich Erinnerung und löst die passenden Emotionen und Assoziationen aus. Dazu habe ich auch zum Teil mit original Kleidungsstücken und Objekten von meinem Opa und zum anderen Teil mit gefundener Kleidung kommuniziert.
After hesitating and procrastinating, I enter my grandfather’s room. His smell is present. Months have passed since then, but time in the room stays still.. I love my grandfather. We have always had a very special
connection. My collection begins with the story of the day I had to clean out my grandfather’s room. This day is firmly fixed in my memory and every memory conveys every outfit. The main material is white wadding. It is neutral, white, soft, light, and warm. For me the material symbolizes memory, and it triggers the appropriate emotions and associations. Additionally, I have communicated partly with original clothing and objects from my grandpa and partly with found clothing.
