Marlen Linck’s MA graduation collection, INSTINCTS, explores the origins of clothing and art.
Prehistoric cave paintings made with charcoal and materials such as fur, felt, and leather are
deliberately incorporated. The instinctive use of these materials, as well as charcoal as a drawing
tool, conveys a sense of nostalgia through the outfits and a desire to reflect on a time that seems
almost out of reach.

Marlen Linck is a German fashion designer who lives and works in Hamburg. She earned her
Master of Arts in Fashion Design from HAW Hamburg in the summer of 2025. The project Crû
origins emerged from her graduate collection INSTINCTS, and aims to sophisticatedly integrate
the raw quality of natural materials into her designs. Marlen’s practice revolves around humanity’s
return to nature in the contemporary context and the inherent beauty and strength of raw natural
materials. Her designs range from women’s fashion, accessories and bags to art objects and
fragrance.
