The master’s collection „Augmented Identity. Between Algorithms and Authenticity“ explores how our identity evolves within the digital realm. At its core, it examines how algorithms shape users, subtly guide their behaviour, and in doing so gradually undermine authenticity.

Each design within the collection represents a different stage of digital influence – beginning with an authentic identity and progressing towards a manipulated, altered version of the self. The collection makes the invisible visible, revealing how quietly yet powerfully digital systems can transform what we think and who we are

Lina Häcker’s master’s collection explores identity within the digital realm and the influence of algorithmic systems. The outfits visualise a gradual process of manipulation through one-sided media and show how individual personality can become increasingly distorted. Alongside traditional pattern cutting, the development of leather handbags forms a central focus of her design practice.
