Laura Chlass und das gleichnamige Label, gegründet im Februar 2023, widmet sich der kreativen Selbstverwirklichung der Art Direktorin und Designerin. Eine immer wiederkehrende Inspiration stellt die Welt der Emotionen dar, die durch Stoffe, Schnitte und Kleidung aufgezeigt wird. Ein Geisteszustand, der sich in ihren Kreationen widerspiegelt. Ein Gefühl, das häufig in Schwarz getaucht wird. Eine Idee, die sich meistens in Leder kleidet.
Die Bachelor-Kollektion „Dissonance“ beschreibt ein vorherbestimmtes Ungleichgewicht sowie eine dysfunktionale Identität, die durch soziale Normierungen und gesellschaftliche Einflüsse hervorgerufen wird. Dabei wird ein Verlust der eigenen Identität thematisiert sowie die Zwanghaftigkeit einer gesellschaftlich geformten Persona visualisiert. „Dissonance“ äußert Kritik an einer modernen, schnelllebigen Welt und den damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf die mentale Gesundheit. Die Designerin kommuniziert in ihrer stilistisch typischen Designsprache und Ästhetik, die durch Kontraste in Material und Form den Wahnsinn der modernen Welt benennt.

A recurring inspiration represents the world of emotions revealed through fabrics, cuts and clothing. A state of mind that is reflected in her creations. A feeling that is often immersed in black. An idea that mostly dresses in leather.
The Bachelor collection „Dissonance“ describes a predetermined imbalance as well as a dysfunctional identity caused by social standardization and societal influences. Thereby a loss of one’s own identity is thematized as well as the constraint of a socially formed persona is visualized. „Dissonance“ expresses criticism of a modern, fast-paced world and the associated effects on mental health.
