My collection explores the moral conflict women face caught between emancipation and patriarchal control. In this context, female anatomy remains bound to normative systems of evaluation. A constant “too much or too little” regulates, evaluates, and disciplines the female body. These standards are internalized and function as a form of self-surveillance. Knitting technology serves as a tool to make the conflict visible and transfer it to the textile plane. Inspired by spaces of resonance in pop culture, the collection translates emotional states of tension without illustrating them. Lingerie-inspired elements play a key role, deliberately brought to the outside. What would normally remain hidden is worn in full view. This creates a tension between concealment and exposure, self-determination and social judgement. The collection does not follow a linear narrative but presents a field of equivalent states. Between control and resistance, visibility and attribution, a space of tension emerges that is not resolved but rather laid bare. 

From an early age, I have been fascinated by fashion and textile design as a form of expression. After a few detours, I finally found in knitting the medium through which I can creatively and conceptually combine design, material research, and personal narratives. This is one of the reasons I decided to deepen my knowledge by pursuing a Master’s degree in Textile Products with a focus on design. My work primarily explores emotional tension, feminine ambivalence, and the question of how societal expectations can be translated into textile surfaces, silhouettes, and products. For me, knitting is not just a technique, but also a medium at the intersection of fashion and textile design that uniquely combines emotion and malleability. A fascinating link between control, protection, and dissolution that captivates me time and again.
