Christina Rieger - Fachhochschule Bielefeld
fe* – Fachhochschule Bielefeld
Christina Rieger completed her Bachelor’s degree at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, where she is currently working towards her Master’s degree.
During her studies, she developed a particular interest in draping techniques and various manufacturing methods.
Thanks to her strong creative vision and precise working style, she has been able to continuously refine her skills in both the creative and technical fields.
Central aspects of her work include the interplay of contrasts and the exploration of gender issues.
Her minimalist design language emphasizes form and concept.
The collection “fe*” explores the theme of gender through design by combining classic, clean-cut silhouettes with a soft, organic design language. The mix of flowing, gentle elements and robust, structured forms creates a distinctive look that shapes the visual identity of the collection.
A transparent, unconventional fabric—beyond traditional clothing materials—highlights permeability as a key design principle. It symbolically represents the dissolution of rigid boundaries. This is complemented by embroidery, whose playfully interpreted motifs are further developed into prints—also engaging with the theme of gender and playing with its perception.
The title “fe*” already hints at the collection’s deliberate stance against a binary gender system. Instead, clothing is presented independently of gender—the focus lies on the designs themselves, not on the bodies they are assigned to.
