SOLSTICE – Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft Hamburg

Carina Göhler, a fashion design graduate from HAW Hamburg, creates conceptual collections characterized by a strong visual language with a special focus on materiality, color, and symbolic forms. Her graduation collection “SOLSTICE” is dedicated to the atmosphere of the summer solstice – the moment of the highest light and the intense connection to nature. Inspired by the delicate colors of summer, the collection combines lightness with expressiveness: shades of pink, purple, and orange, partly vibrant but mostly soft, define the overall palette.

A central design element is the flower crown, traditionally worn in many cultures during the summer solstice. Its circular shape and symbolism served as the basis for voluminous, sculptural elements that evoke floral ornaments. Transparent materials, flowing silhouettes, and layered constructions create a collection that hovers between poetry and presence – a textile homage to summer in its most powerful form.
