SKINSITIVE - PURE COTTON – Hochschule Niederrhein

Die Dessous- und Loungewear- Kollektion, ist aus Liebe zu Mensch und Natur entstanden. Wie der Kollektionsname „skinsitive – pure cotton“ bereits verrät, ist die Kollektion materialorientiert und im Sinne der Hautfreundlichkeit entworfen worden. Die Oberstoffe und Garne bestehen ausnahmslos aus dem Monomaterial Bio-Baumwolle.

Ergänzend kommen, je nach Modell, Gummibänder auf pflanzlicher Basis, aus Bio-Baumwolle und Naturkautschuk hinzu. Selbst Bestandteile wie der Ring, sowie der Versteller des Trägers, sind entgegen der üblichen Erwartung experimentell aus reiner Baumwolle. Somit ist die gesamte Kollektion biologisch abbaubar und vegan.

Die Haut nimmt, als größtes Organ unseres Körpers, erheblichen Einfluss auf unser Wohlbefinden. Mit meiner Kollektion möchte ich ein Bewusstsein für die Wichtigkeit der Materialwahl schaffen, da sie nicht nur Auswirkungen auf die Natur hat, sondern auch unmittelbare Auswirkungen auf den Menschen, der sie trägt. Aus diesem Grund umfasst das Farbspektrum der Kollektion zwei natürlich vorkommende Farbnuancen der Baumwolle, weshalb auf Bleich- und Färbprozesse verzichtet werden kann. Damit ist die Kollektion eine echte Alternative, sogar für besonders empfindliche Hauttypen.

Die reduzierte Farbigkeit der Kollektion eröffnet die Möglichkeit, Bekleidung abseits von Drucken und farbigen Musterungen wirken zu lassen und den Fokus klar auf die Schnittführung, sowie die Haptik und den natürlichen Fall der Materialien zu lenken. Dabei besticht sie durch einen Mix aus transparenten und blickdichten Stoffen.

Insgesamt zeichnet sich ein verführerisches Spiel zwischen körperbetonenden und verhüllenden Silhouetten, sowie sichtbaren Hautpartien durchscheinender Haut und gänzlich bekleideter Bereiche, ab.

Collection presentation:
The lingerie and loungewear collection was created out of love for people and nature. As the collection name “skinsitive – pure cotton” suggests, the collection is material-oriented and designed with skin-friendliness in mind. The outer fabrics and yarns are exclusively made from the monomaterial organic cotton.

Depending on the model, there are also plant-based rubber bands made from organic cotton and natural rubber. Contrary to the usual expectations, even components such as the ring and the wearer’s adjuster are experimentally made from pure cotton. This means the entire collection is biodegradable and vegan.

As the largest organ in our body, the skin has a significant influence on our well-being. With my collection I want to create awareness of the importance of material choice, as it not only has an impact on nature, but also a direct impact on the people who wear it. For this reason, the color spectrum of the collection includes two naturally occurring shades of cotton, which means that bleaching and dyeing processes are not necessary. This makes the collection a real alternative, even for particularly sensitive skin types.

The reduced color of the collection opens up the possibility of making clothing look different from prints and colored patterns and of clearly focusing on the cut, as well as the feel and natural fall of the materials. It impresses with a mix of transparent and opaque materials. Overall, there is a seductive interplay between body-accentuating and concealing silhouettes, as well as visible areas of translucent skin and fully clothed areas.

Selbstdarstellung:
Mein Name ist Anna Reintges, ich bin 24 Jahre alt und Studentin an der Hochschule Niederrhein. Mit meiner Kollektion „skinsitive – pure cotton“ schließe ich mein Bachelorstudium als Design- Ingenieurin mit dem Schwerpunkt Mode ab. Zu meinem 12. Geburtstag bekam ich meine erste Nähmaschine. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an begeisterten mich Stoffe, Schnitte sowie Farben und Muster. Bis zu meinem Abitur lebte ich diese Leidenschaft nur hobbymäßig aus. Dass Bekleidung aber weit mehr ausmacht als ihre Optik, untersuchte ich in meiner Facharbeit in der Oberstufe. Damals verglich ich Pflanzenfasern und synthetischen Chemiefasern im Bereich der Sportbekleidung unter dem Aspekt der körperlichen Reaktionen. Mit der Wahl meines Studiums konnte ich dann die Liebe zur Kreativität und den Wunsch nach tiefgreifenderem, branchenbezogenem Wissen vereinen und so die optimale Grundlage schaffen, um meine Leidenschaft künftig zum Beruf zu machen.

Self-presentation:
My name is Anna Reintges, I am 24 years old and a student at Niederrhein University. With my collection “skinsitive – pure cotton” I am completing my bachelor’s degree as a design engineer with a focus on fashion. I got my first sewing machine for my 12th birthday. From that point on, I was fascinated by fabrics, cuts, colors and patterns. Until I graduated from high school, I only pursued this passion as a hobby. In my thesis in high school, I examined the fact that clothing matters much more than just how it looks. At that time I compared plant fibers and synthetic chemical fibers in the field of sportswear from the perspective of physical reactions. By choosing my course of study, I was able to combine my love of creativity and the desire for more in-depth, industry-related knowledge and thus create the optimal basis for turning my passion into a career in the future.
