SUBCULTURAL EXCHANGE AND COLLECTIVE IDENTITY WITHIN URBAN SOCIETIES – Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin
THE BACHELOR GRADUATE COLLECTION OF ALISIA WOOD DEALS WITH SUBCULTURAL EXCHANGE AND COLLECTIVE IDENTITY WITHIN URBAN SOCIETIES. IT PLAYS WITH THE PARADOX OF STRIVING INDIVIDUALISM THROUGH COLLECTIVISM IN FORMS OF SELF-POSITIONING AND SCENEHOPPING. THE ASPIRING FASHIONDESIGNER USES „STYLE AS BRICOLAGE“ AS A TOOL TO BRING THE YOUTH SUBCULTURES, SHE HAS EXPERIENCED IN HER LIFETIME OR WAS IN TOUCH WITH THROUGH FRIENDS, TOGETEHR. THEREFORE THE FINAL COLLECTION WILL BE A MELTED CREATURE OF ALL OF THEM. TRANSLATED AND VISUALIZED MOSTLY THROUGH UPCYCLING, DECONSTRUCTION AND DRAPING BASED ON HER VERY OWN GUT INSTINCT. FABRIC MANIPULATION SUCH AS BURNING MARKS, HOLES, CUT AND TIE AS WELL AS FELTED REAL HUMAN HAIR DETAILS COMPLETE THE COLLECTION. ALISIA WOOD IS A, BERLIN BASED, STATE CERTIFIED CLOTHING TECHNICAL ASSISTANT AND FASHION DESIGN STUDENT IN THE THIRD YEAR AT HTW BERLIN – UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES. AT THE MOMENT SHE IS WORKING ON HER GRADUATE COLLECTION …. ABSCHLUSS: Seit April 2020 im Abschlusssemester
