I-Dentity – Hochschule Pforzheim

Für Sebastian Adam zeichnete sich der Weg in die Modebranche schon früh ab. Bereits als Kind begeisterte er sich für Mode, entwickelte zeichnerisch seine ersten Designs, und perfektionierte seine Darstellungen immer weiter. So stellte sich der Besuch an der Hochschule Pforzheim für den Studiengang Mode als unausweichlich dar.

Dort lernte er Hands On alle wichtigen Grundlagen für seine weitere Designlaufbahn und eignete sich fundamentale Näh- sowie Designfertigkeiten an, um die Modewelt im Sturm zu erobern. Auch entwickelte er dort sein Interesse für Handarbeiten, und wurde von seinen Professoren ermutigt einen künstlerischen Zugang zu Mode zu wählen.

Bei Uy Studio in Berlin schnupperte Sebastian zum ersten mal Großstadtluft. Dort verfeinerte er viele Designfähigkeiten, sowie erlernte er Teamfähigkeit und außerdem alles was dazugehört, ein Label zu führen .

Der aufgeraute Stil von Berlin stellte sich als grundlegende Inspiration für sein Modeverständnis dar. Dort fand er Bezug zu vielen verschiedenen Menschengruppen und Szenen. Was ihn heutzuzage noch an Mode fasziniert: Das Darstellen der Verschiedenheit der Facetten der Menschen durch Kleidung.

Bei Kitschy Couture wurde sein bisher erlangtes Wissen herausgefordert, und er codesignte mehrere Couture-Runway Looks für die Show auf der Berlin Fashion Week 2024. Auch bekam er dort viele kreative Anstöße, die ihn heute noch begleiten. Dort begann auch seine weitere Reise über Identitäten, und er tauchte zum ersten mal in das Thema „kulturelle Identität“ ein.

Sein Ziel ist, die Schönheit von verschiedenen Kulturen, verschiedensten Menschen durch Kleidung zu verdeutlichen. Er möchte und größere Akzeptanz wie Hervorhebung durch seine Mode zu schaffen.



For Sebastian Adam, the path into the fashion industry became apparent early on. Even as a child, he was enthusiastic about fashion, developed his first designs through drawing and continued to perfect his illustrations. This made attending Pforzheim University to study fashion unavoidable.

There he learned hands-on all the important basics for his future design career and acquired fundamental sewing and design skills to take the fashion world by storm. There he also developed his interest in needlework and was encouraged by his professors to take an artistic approach to fashion.

At Uy Studio in Berlin, Sebastian got a taste of the big city for the first time. There he honed many design skills, learned the ability to work in a team and everything that goes with running a creative label. The roughened style of Berlin was a fundamental inspiration for his understanding of fashion. There he found a connection to many different groups of people and scenes. What still fascinates him about fashion today: Representing the diversity of people‘s facets through clothing.

At Kitschy Couture, the knowledge he had acquired so far was challenged and he codesigned several couture runway looks for their show at Berlin Fashion Week 2024. He also received many creative impulses there that still accompany him today.

That is where his further journey into identities began, and he delved in the topic of „cultural identity“ for the first time.

His goal is to highlight the beauty of different cultures and different people through clothing. He wants to create greater acceptance and emphasis through his fashion.
