“Layered Sediment” explores the quiet force of accumulation, translating gradual build-up into sculptural yet composed forms. Draping, hand pleating, and exaggerated padded hip details create controlled volume and a sense of layered formation. Textural silks and cottons are grounded in earthy tones of olive, moss, muted florals, rust, and ochre, reflecting sediment’s natural build through depth, texture, and precise construction.

Adrine Imishyan is a Toronto-based fashion designer whose work explores structure, proportion, and layered form. Her process begins with close observation and develops through pattern making, construction, and material experimentation. She is drawn to sculptural silhouettes that feel composed rather than exaggerated, where volume and detail emerge gradually through making.
