Nothing New – Hochschule Hannover

Before studying Fashion Design at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Fee Ademovski worked as an automotive mechatronics technician. Her engagement with construction, functionality, and materials continues to shape her design approach and informs her perspective on clothing as a combination of aesthetics, function, and longevity.

With her graduate collection Nothing New, she explores how sustainability can be implemented in fashion design through conscious design decisions. The project originated from the observation that the term sustainability is widely used, yet rarely defined in a clear and consistent way. This led her to develop her own design approach and to investigate sustainable principles through practical application.

Rooted in the concepts of Slow Fashion, the collection combines durability, repairability, and recyclability with wearable silhouettes and practical materials. Leather, denim, knitwear, and self-developed cyanotype-inspired prints form the foundation of a collection that serves as a conscious counterpoint to the speed and disposability of the fast fashion industry.

Nothing New is a practical exploration of sustainability, functionality, and materiality, demonstrating how design decisions can contribute to extending the lifespan of garments and encouraging a more responsible use of resources.
