Shedding Silence is a collection born in a moment when silence was not a choice, but a necessity. The realization that life can end at any moment awakened a deep urge to speak through clothing. Into this chaos came sewing — as a way to piece myself back together, as a form of inner calm, as a space where I can still hold something under control. The collection is created for those who have endured the trial of silence, who have learned to live with tension inside, yet never allowed it to break them.
Each look is a symbol that even in moments when words are unnecessary, one can speak through form, texture, and color.

Dark looks resemble armor — not for protection, but as a new skin, capable of feeling the world anew.
Light ones are like the stillness after the storm: not emptiness, but cleansing, light that does not ask for permission to shine. The palette of the collection is built on the contrast between deep dark shades and pure light tones.
Dark colors symbolize accumulated experience, strength, and endurance.
Light ones — transparency, renewal, and sincerity.
This duality creates a visual rhythm in which each look interacts with the others, emphasizing the main idea — the balance between vulnerability and inner armor. The garments feature light and delicate fabrics — satin and chiffon — combined with denser suiting materials. This contrast of textures balances softness with structure, visually highlighting the idea of combining vulnerability with inner strength. Within a single silhouette, it evokes both a sense of protection and openness to the world. It is a reminder that fragility and resilience can coexist within the same form. This collection marks a stage — one in which Shedding Silence becomes not just a set of garments, but an act of healing.

My name is Victoria Skok, and I am a fashion designer from Ukraine currently studying at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. Fashion has become not only my profession but also my language — a way of expressing emotions, experiences, and ideas that are often difficult to communicate with words alone. My interest in design grew from a fascination with the relationship between the human body, clothing, and personal identity. Over time, this curiosity developed into a deep passion for creating garments that combine strong visual concepts with thoughtful construction and craftsmanship. I am particularly interested in the emotional dimension of fashion and the ability of clothing to tell stories, preserve memories, and reflect personal experiences. During my studies, I have continuously worked on developing both my artistic vision and technical skills. I enjoy every stage of the creative process, from research and concept development to pattern making, draping, sewing, and the final presentation of a collection. For me, fashion design is not only about aesthetics but also about understanding materials, silhouettes, and the dialogue between structure and movement. My work often explores themes of vulnerability, resilience, memory, and transformation. I am inspired by contrasts — softness and strength, fragility and protection, darkness and light. Through these contrasts, I seek to create garments that carry emotional meaning while remaining contemporary and wearable. One of my most significant projects is the collection Shedding Silence, which emerged from a deeply personal period and became a reflection on silence, healing, and inner strength. Through this collection, I discovered that fashion can become much more than a visual discipline; it can serve as a form of self-expression, communication, and even recovery. I believe that garments created with sincerity have the power to resonate with others and create emotional connections beyond trends and seasons. Throughout my academic journey, I have participated in fashion presentations and collaborative projects that allowed me to gain experience in teamwork, collection development, and runway preparation. These experiences strengthened my belief that fashion is a powerful cultural language capable of bringing people together and encouraging dialogue. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to learn, experiment, and expand my perspective. I am interested in contemporary fashion, craftsmanship, innovative materials, and sustainable approaches to design. I believe that the future of fashion lies in combining creativity with responsibility and creating pieces that are meaningful both aesthetically and emotionally. For me, fashion is a space where sensitivity and strength can coexist. It is a form of storytelling, a means of communication, and a reminder that even in uncertain times, creativity has the power to connect, heal, and inspire.
