The brand’s philosophy is embodied in an architectural approach to cutting. The designer creates garments as a language of inner strength, where elongated proportions and soaring vertical lines draw the silhouette upward toward the light. High, closed collars and sharp, graphic shoulders act as symbolic armor for a renewed entity, protecting a vulnerable inner world. My name is Artem Pugach, and I am a fashion designer for whom the language of form is an innate way of thinking. I often feel that I was born with this knowledge: I didn’t choose design — design chose me. For as long as I can remember, the world of lines, textures, and silhouettes has been my
only reality. Even as a child, I created my first outfits for dolls, intuitively searching for correct proportions and a harmony that could speak without words.My conscious interest in design and understanding of the craft were born in my mother’s workshop. She is a professional tailor, and there was one defining moment in my childhood when she first sat me down at a sewing machine and showed me how it worked. In that exact second, something just
clicked inside me — a clear, uncompromising awareness of my life’s purpose ignited. My mother’s unconditional sophistication, her precision, and her reverence for cutting laid the very foundation upon which the entire philosophy of my brand is built today. The name of my brand, ARTEMIO CHOUETTE, has sacred, deeply personal roots. My last name is Pugach (which means „eagle owl“ in Ukrainian), and „Chouette“ translates from French as „owl.“ This is not merely a linguistic coincidence; it is my identity, my totem. The image of the owl embodies nocturnal mystery, deep wisdom, and a distinct, watchful worldview that I weave into every sketch and every finished garment. I build my unique creative signature on four immovable pillars: historicism, architectural form, sophistication, and drama. I am fascinated by the process of transforming the grandeur and rigor of past eras (specifically the fashion of the late 19th century) into monumental contemporary
silhouettes. To me, clothing is the architecture of the body. I work with elongated proportions, sharp graphic shoulders, and complex multi-layered structures, where every line carries a character, and every volume holds its own emotional tension and narrative.A stark embodiment of this approach is my collection, „Resurrected.“ It emerged as a visual exploration of the human soul passing through the darkness of an inner crisis and returning to life.
Through the contrasts of light and shadow, rigorous armor-like lines, and weightless fabrics, this collection speaks of the moment when the pain has already passed, and a person stands up again —but as an entirely new, stronger essence.I do not strive to create mass fashion or follow fleeting seasonal trends. My goal as an artist is to create for those whose inner universe resonates with my personal vision. I design clothing as a
silent yet powerful manifesto for intellectual individuals who look for a reflection of their own strength, inner mystery, and flawless individuality within a garment.
