OKOS – Hochschule Reutlingen
OKOS is a concept for a potential alternative to fast fashion.
OKOS demonstrates that a sustainable brand can be modern and stylish while still adhering to sustainable principles. The collection operates on a modular system. Each basic element can be expanded with various add-ons. This means the customer doesn’t have to buy several different garments to be dressed for various events. She can go to work casually and comfortably one day and be elegant and chic the next, ready for a birthday party. The ability to transform a top into a longsleeve shirt and/or a dress sparks the customer’s creativity and curbs the purchase of disposable
clothing. Thanks to its minimalist design and focus on the essentials, OKOS is a timeless brand. OKOS offers a space to engage with sustainable fashion in a concrete yet playful way.
My name is Sofie Glöckler, and I recently completed my bachelor’s degree at Reutlingen University. To me, fashion design is so much more than just beautiful clothes. It’s a means of self-expression. The issue of sustainability has become particularly important to me. I want to draw attention to problems that are often overlooked. I’m committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy fashion and that we don’t consume at the expense of others. Sustainable fashion is so much more than just environmental protection; it’s about social justice. This is reflected in my designs through minimalist and clean aesthetics. Sharp lines and shapes with individual, playful elements. The message is clear and direct, yet still aesthetically pleasing and appealing.
