The collection explores questions of identity, heritage, and the history of Turkish labor migration to Germany.
It is rooted in the designer’s family history, which began with the arrival of his grandfather as a guest worker.
Historical Turkish garments, traditional craftsmanship techniques, and floral motifs form the basis of the
design research and are translated into a contemporary context. The floral elements also reference the longstanding work of the designer’s parents in a flower nursery, symbolizing care, growth, and continuity.
The seven realized looks combine historical references with modern, partly deconstructed silhouettes and
experimental construction techniques. Hidden structures are revealed, traditional craft methods are
reinterpreted, and infused with subtle irony. At the core of the collection are cultural memory, the
permanence of design, and an exploration of identity between two cultural worlds.

As a trained graphic designer and bespoke tailor, I combine conceptual thinking with technical craftsmanship. My work brings together design, pattern making, and garment construction in a holistic creative process. I consciously incorporate playful elements and a subtle sense of humor as part of my design language, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and professionalism. Careful craftsmanship, thoughtful concepts, and a high standard of execution remain at the core of my work.
