Die Arbeit »Ein Raum für mich allein« setzt sich mit dem uns allen gegebenen Schamgefühl auseinander. Die Scham ist eines der intensivsten und universellsten Gefühle, die wir Menschen alle gleich empfinden, ohne sie steuern zu können. Die körperlichen Reaktionen auf Scham beinhalten die Abwendung vom Außen sowie eine radikale Hinwendung zu unserem Inneren. Die Kleidung in dieser Arbeit dient als Momentaufnahme, die dieses ›Unbewusste zu sich selbst Kehren‹ darzustellen versucht. — Kleidung als Rückzugsort. Kleidung als ein Teil des Selbst. Kleidung als Inneres.

The work “A room for myself” deals with the feeling of shame that is one of the most intense and universal feelings that we all experience in the same way without being able to control it. The physical reactions to shame include a turning away from the outside and a radical return to our inner self. The clothing in this work serves as a snapshot that attempts to depict this ‚unconscious withdrawal into oneself‘. – Clothing as a place of retreat. Clothing as a part of the self. Clothing as the innermost.
